An annual family-friendly event that brings together farmers and food producers, musicians, and eaters of every age. Each year on Columbus Day weekend the apple growers of South Hero invite 20,000 people to share in the harvest. For well over 100 years Chapin Farm and Orchard has been a landmark in Essex, VT. Each fall they open their orchards and visitor center aree open to the public September 5th to November 1st.

Hours: 7 days a week from 9:30AM - 5:30PM.

Held on the commons in Dummerston, VT town's center every year on the Sunday of Columbus Day Weekend, this harvest festival kicks off with a Fireman's Pancake Breakfast from 7:30-11:00AM and the craft fair is from 10:00AM-4:00PM. The pies go on sale at 10AM but don't wait too long, they are usually all gone by early afternoon.
