OK. This will be a slightly biased review since I live in Richmond and it is our hometown show. But come on..this is REALLY what small-town fourth of July in VT is all about.

Fun Run : Starts at the school and ends in the park. watch 'real' runners come thru, then moms/ dads/kids of all ages/ strollers/dogs, everyone is in it to have a ball.

Parade: packed with floats, cars, horses, bands, kids, kids, kids, candy, music, political people, cats on bikes, men on stilts, and did I mention balloons, beads, big men in little cars, all with a theme.

Post parade in the park:
After the parade is REALLY where the fun gets started. bbq Food, bingo, jumpy house, auction, pony rides, food, really fun games for the kids, stuff for sale, food. Great community event. If you know anyone in Richmond, you're sure to run into them here.

And the fireworks at night.

This IS the best gig in town. Biased...nah. It really is just that good.

Parking is tricky (south side parking is generally better), but that's about it.
