Camp Downer is a great place! You'll have a great time, make new friends, and learn new skills. Some of the things you can do includes swimming, boating, crafts, drama, shooting sports, outdoor living and more. You'll take part in campfires, skits, games, and dances.

  • FOR BOYS AND GIRLS! Ages 8 to 17 years old (the two week session is only for campers who are at least 11 years old).
  • LOCATED IN DOWNER STATE FOREST in Sharon Vt. Camp Downer has a swimming pool, a pond for boating, fourteen cabins, a recreation hall, a dining hall, a crafts building, a nature cabin, a sports field, an archery range, and more.
  • STAFFED BY DEDICATED PERSONNEL! A director, assistant director, office personnel, program directors, a health care practitioner, kitchen staff, maintenance staff, and many counselors. One or more counselors live in each cabin with the campers.
  • OPEN FOR EIGHT WEEKS EACH SUMMER! Each summer there are six one-week sessions and one two-week session.

I highly recommend this wonderful camp. I was a camper and counselor there many years ago. In fact, I met my husband there who was also a counselor then. Now our children are campers there!

Your kiddos will have a blast. It's a fun and exciting place...and affordable too!
