Make a box costume and join the parade!

This was really fun! I helped my three year old prepare a box by cutting out holes for his arms and head. He went to town decorating it with fingerpaint. We called some friends to join us.

We met at Church and Pearl and followed the crowd comprised entirely of summer camp groups. The parade was led down Church Street to the green in front of the Town Hall by some drum players. Pedestrians and those dining al fresco waved and cheered. We then sat on the green and ate cookies and lemonade while watching a comedian.

My friends and I were the only non-summer campers there! I don't know why this is, but I suggest you join next year!
