My father-in-law purchased our son's first bike at Earl's. The folks there are very helpful and take the time to find and fit the right bike. They even helped with some minor tweaks (for free) after the sale. You may find cheaper bikes elsewhere, but I prefer the quality bike and the local know-how and service for something that will be used for several years.
