Family Mini Craft Workshops @ Shelburne Craft School
Ages: 6 - 14+
Introduce your child to the joy of making on Saturdays at The Shelburne Craft School.
These are two-hour family friendly Saturday workshops for parents and children 6+. These mini-samplers offer skills in hand-building with clay, print making, and visual arts. Students will learn how to use tools, learn fun techniques and will go home with a unique one of a kind handmade object. (*clay projects will be ready in 4 weeks.)

This was something we've been wanting to try and so glad we finally did! It does cost $10 - bring exact change (or check) otherwise you have to wait to try to make change with another parent. Parking lot was semi-small, but there is a train station across the street so figure if parking is full you could park there. Class starts at 10am - so be there slightly early. We've been "meaning to go" for year, and am so happy we finally got to it! An hour of skilled and supported craft work left my 7 year old inspired and asking to look at the listing to see when she wanted to go next. Kids are given help but also encouraged to explore, try, and succeed on their own. Fantastic hour spent for a very reasonable price ($10).

We went to a class last year and it was great. We made snakes out of neck ties and the kids are still sleeping with them each night! I thought it was a little pricey but we all had a good time. A note of caution - you have to be on time as the class had already started when we got there (it's not like the drop-in class at Creative Habitat) and the instructor seemed a bit put-off by our late arrival (15 minutes into the class).

This is a great Saturday morning activity run by SAC. We have enjoyed the staff (amazing!) and the projects that have come home after our kids have spent their mornings at the drop-in class. The drop-in nature makes it super convenient, and older kids are just as welcome as my 9-year-old.
