We loved this water park! I took my daughter last summer who was 8 at the time. This is one of the cleanest water parks I have been to. There are so many activities, families with toddlers or teens would never get bored. We especially liked the Hurricane.

Agree with the review on 8/4/09 but found the traffic into the park, the parking shuttle, the entry fee, and the a la carte pricing on most of the rides to be not worth driving from the Burlington area. If you are going to travel into Quebec for the day, go to Montreal and visit the Insectarium, Botanical Garden, and Biodome!

The zoo itself is well-kept, with plenty of picnic tables and benches throughout. Lots of natural space with grass, flowers, and trees. Enjoyable experience for our family ... except ...

Beware of the parking situation! We spent 45 minutes in bumper-to-bumper traffic inching our way to the parking lot, only to be handed a sheet of paper with a map explaining that we had to LEAVE the parking lot to drive about a mile away to a store parking lot. From there we'd take a bus back to the zoo. Talk about frustrating! There was a turn some time before the zoo that we could have taken to get to the overflow parking lot if the zoo only had had enough intelligence to put someone with a sign out there directing people where to go! Then we had to lug our bags around all day because we had planned to leave some stuff in the car (swim suits, food, etc). You might not have this problem if you get there early -- we were there at about 11:15.

Another thing that bugged me is the extra cost for things that should be included. The ticket price is not cheap, yet we had to pay extra to ride the monorail. We didn't even venture to where the rides were as those were extra $$ too. If you want a camel or pony ride, extra. Stroller? Extra. Locker? Extra.

I will also mention that there isn't as much French-English interpretation as I expected. The zoo keepers all gave their informationals in French and the monorail narration was in French. Most signs had English, but not at all the food places.

All in all a good day -- just know what to expect before you go!

The combination zoo and waterpark made this a wonderful experience for my son and the friends we brought with us. Granby offers camel and pony rides along with a monorail and a mini-amusement park. The waterpark is not overly large but is a great way to cool off and/or relax as part of the day. My family and I find the Granby Zoo to be in much better shape than Parc Safari- the animals appear better and there are more of them, the waterpark is larger and nicer, and if I found the prices to be much more reasonable. It does take about 2 hours to get there from Burlington. I would recommend this zoo to anyone who enjoys zoos and/or animals....more
