Our daughter has taken several classes here. Last year she participated in the 6/7 after school class. For her, it was too chaotic. There are multiple aged classes going on at once with not a lot of individualized attention. Most of the groups were lead by young (HS or college aged?) girls. It felt intimidating for younger, non-skilled gymnasts.

The parkour teachers are experienced and nice. The rest of the business, unfortunately, is not run well. First of all, they never answer their phone. Numerous times I needed to get a hold of them, never to reach any person. When my child signed up for their camp, he got very sick for three out of the five days. Their policy is such that even if you miss the whole thing because of sickness or whatever reason, they do not give you any sort of credit. Most businesses I have dealt with at least will give you credit if your child becomes very sick or someone dies the family. Another thing is that they do not take credit or debit.
There is definitely not any sense of welcome or appreciation of clients, especially for the high prices. I do really like the parkour teachers, however. Hundreds and hundreds of dollars later, my child has learned some good things from them.

Money-mill mentality. We have been here before for Open Gym, which as others stated, is usually overcrowded and chaotic; they really need to control numbers. We tried classes for our kids (6 and 3) which were also WAY overcrowded per group AND they have multiple age groups going on at the same time. Not conducive for a fun, controlled, learning environment. Both our kids love gymnastics (at other places, where we'll go from now on) and they both asked if they could stop going to their classes here. Disappointing, and would love our money back. ...more

This is a great place for a birthday party. The staff was amazing with all the kids, they were more then willing to help the kids and had great things for them all to do. They also demonstrated some stuff for the kids at the end of the party..

My 12 month old loved going to open gym. It was a great experience. She enjoyed all the different activities that were available for her to do. There is such a variety to include a tumbling trampoline, foam pit, floor space with hula hoops, balls and other toys, along with low balance beams and different shaped mats for her to meneuver through. We arrived as soon as they opened the doors and stayed until open gym was over. Not once did she seem bored. There are no "instructors" for open gym so parents need to keep a careful eye on their children to ensure they are playing safely, but the cost is reasonable, $10, parents are free :)...more

Green Mountain Gymnastics is a great place to bring kids from recreational classes to competitive gymnastics. The staff is courteous and supportive and work to nurture as well as teach kids skills in their classes. 3 of my children have attended GMG and all have had extremely good experiences. The staff will work with you if you have concerns. My children have gained skills for the gym and skills socially and have had their character built through the positive reinforcement of coaches and staff. Fantastic overall!...more

We recently attended a kids night out at Green Mountain
Gymnastics. My kids love to go and always have a good time, there is always plenty of activities for them to do as well as coaches that help with skills that they want to work on. The space is great, it is large enough to know that the kids will be safe in the environment. It is a great way for me to get out and know that the kids are having a great time.

Both of my kids have been involved with classes and have had great experiences at GMG. They have learned a lot and have had a great deal of support in all of their activities there. The gym is a great community of hardworking girls and guys who are committed to the kids and instill confidence and respect. I would recommend GMG as a great place where kids learn more than just gymnastics.

Recently I took my niece to GMG for an open gym...It was terrible!! The staff were under trained and rude, the facility was dirty, the entire place was not well run. I later tried taking her to Regal Gym and was blown away by the difference in the professionalism and knowledge of the staff. Owners Erika and Tom were extremely welcoming and friendly, and were proud to show us their facility and spent a lot of their time talking of their commitment to children. It clearly showed in the programs. GMG staff were distant- I'm not sure they even knew I was there, let alone my niece. ...more

I was a gymnast in high school so I felt I knew what to expect when I signed my 4 year old up last year (Aug. 2010) for a season of classes. After a few months with a barely-awake instructor who didn't smile or seem enthusiastic with my daughter and the one other child in the 9:00am Sat. class, I asked the owner if she could help. She was very responsive and we saw a slight uptick in the teacher's attitude, but nothing substantial. Then the teacher disappeared and we got a new girl, who my daughter enjoyed much more than the first. We finished up the year and loved the end-of-year performance experience, but alas, my daughter has now decided she'd rather be in ballet. You can draw your own conclusions from that....more
