At MamaDoula, we believe that both giving birth to a baby or adopting a baby are so much more than a physical phenomenon; both processes engage parents-to-be in a transformational experience, a key life event full of emotion and meaning. A postpartum doula provides valuable emotional support and guidance, helping a family make a smooth transition into new family dynamics. Our doulas are experienced mothers (biological and adoptive) and experts in infant care. We'll teach you the perfect swaddle technique, help with your baby's first bath, or show you infant massage that helps to relax a colicky baby so she sleeps. Our doulas help to facilitate a smooth and happy breast feeding relationship. Throughout the time that we are with your family, you have an intimate, supportive friend who can cater to your needs.
