This should be called a localvore food Feast-ival. Definitely don't eat before you go! The vendors had tasty treats like meatball sandwiches, burgers, organic chicken salad, gazpacho, salsas, breads, muffins, syrup, honey, and of course donuts!
Our kids enjoyed the hay bale maze, which is more like a hay climbing structure then a large corn maze that you might be used to. We also did face painting and picked our $5 worth of...more

Wow! This event has changed since we last attended a few years ago - then, I would have described it as lovely, musical, and just all around wonderful, this time, it was mobbed. The music was there, but seemed secondary when compared with the line of cars backed up to get in, the crowds, and the lines for food and port-o-potties. Cars were directed to parking along the same paths where people were walking, it was hard to find anything -...more

Though it's clearly grown over the years (I'd estimate there were 500+ cars there today), it's still a great event with lots to do, see hear and eat. They did a pretty good job managing all the people and cars. While you do pay to get in, lots of things are "free" including: face painting, tractor rides, huge tree swing, live music, water. Lots of variety and healthy choices of food. Probably the best thing is just the beautiful setting...more

Great food and music!! Lots of great vendors too :) There was plenty of room for strollers and dogs and shade too which is always nice when you have little ones with you. Love their cider donuts!!

Great atmosphere ... but it was packed (!) and I was disappointed to have to pay $5 to get in, $5 for a tiny (albeit yummy!) chicken sandwich, and $1 each for cider donuts. Great local event, but a little overpriced compared to most local events.

What a great, family friendly event! The food was wonderful, great music, and wonderful activities for the kids. We did miss the hay maze this year though.

This was such a great event for kids! I went with a little girl I used to nanny for and some of her friends. We had a great time picking apples, listening to music, and taking a tractor ride. Just be sure to bring a little extra cash, as everything costs money! I would definitely recommend this to others.

I love Shelburne Orchards, so the food festival is the icing on the cake. So many great local food vendors and fun music. The food vendors are very similar to the Shelburne Farms Harvest Festival, if you are familar with that. It makes for a great way to spend an afternoon!

This is a great local event and a very nice way to spend a late summer afternoon. Today, we listened to music, had face painting and tried all different kinds of locally made foods. Shelburne orchards is a beautiful venue.
