Smuggs is an excellent place for first timers because its beginner mountain (Morse) is separate from the other two mountains that offer intermediate/advanced terrain. That means new skiers/riders can learn without having too many other skiers zip by them, which can be intimidating. Their instructors are excellent too.

Mitey Mites is an EXCELLENT ski/board program for local children ages 6-12. It runs for 8 sessions (u pick Saturdays or Sundays) starting in January. This is the 2nd year my son has participated and he has improved tremendously!
The staff are fun and motivating and best of all will work with families who have special needs children.
