I chuckled as I read the review of Princess 1973 because my family and friends have been to Palmers Sugar House many times and have never experienced any of her complaints. Actually we were there on the same day she posted about. It's a Vermont Sugar House not the Ritz Carlton. They have string lighting, picnic tables, paper napkins, a live band and oh yes a dirt parking lot instead of valet parking.

I visited the Sugarhouse with my daughter this weekend. The line was long and we got there at noon. It was very dark inside. We got in line, which moved fast. Samples were given out while in line, which was a nice touch. The "sugar" on snow with served with a donut and pickles. The donut was not fresh and pickles was just a cheap grocery store variety. We expected some farm canned pickles and fresh from the vat donuts! The lemonade wasn't...more

Came here with my 10 month old. Although it was slightly packed we did find asset indoors to try our maple fried dough. Plenty of activities, live music and variety of maple food choices!

Has a great time! We visited on Maple Open house weekend, lots of delicious treats to eat, Face painting, sleigh rides, playground, mud puddles, and animals to greet. Tried a maple hot dog, and cheesecake with maple sauce- wow!

Such an awesome place! We brought our snowshoes and walked a bit of the trails before we enjoyed some fabulous maple products! The coffee and donuts were free as was the "shot" of warm syrup. They had a bluegrass band playing the day we were there and it was warm and toasty inside. We will definitely be going back. We brought friends from out of state who had never heard of sugar on snow and it exceeded expectations. Thank you!

We visited for the Maple Open House weekend. My husband and I kept commenting on how much we loved this sugarhouse. The inside was wide open, but with a very authentic and friendly atmosphere. There were plenty of tables to sit, a great little folk band playing, lots of different goodies for sale in the kitchen. We had the sugar on snow (that came with a pickle and donut, of course!) and the fried dough and they were delicious! Outside,...more

My family visited Palmer's Sugarhouse twice this season and had such a great time! It's so family friendly with the animals to feed & pet, the coloring table and best of all the syrup! The sugar on snow is fantastic and last weekend the horse rides topped off our Maple Weekend in VT.

Definitely a 'must do' during sugar season. You must try the maple donut and warm syrup--my 13 month old couldn't get enough of it! Though it was packed, there were plenty of tables inside to sit down and enjoy.
