We recently visited the swimming hole with some friends who were visiting from out-of-town. As usual this we had a great time indoors with kids. For older kids, the diving board opens at 3:30 (same time as the slide and kiddie pool), and on weekends they bring out a volleyball net and other toys. It's a blast! Day passes are not inexpensive and all the fun stuff shuts down at 6, so it's best to get there as close to 3:30 as possible.

The Swimming Hole is completely family, and especially baby friendly. The first splash sessions are great. Kara is a fantastic teacher/guide. The kid pool is amazing especially for kids 5 and up. If you are bringing your infant or toddler to swim, I would avoid going while the slide is open as it can get pretty crowded.
