My husband and I are local business owners and unexpectedly found ourselves with no childcare and three weeks left of summer! Imagine our dismay.

I wish I had been as lucky as the mom who just commented. I used this service twice and it was a bad experience both times. I felt like I was very descriptive in what I was looking for but I was sent nannies who were just not a good fit. It was frustrating to say the least.

We subscribe to Vermont Nanny Connection's babysitter list - we pay an annual fee to VNC and they send us a list of qualified sitters to choose from. I'm a stay at home mom, so we really only needed coverage sporadically to cover date nights or doctor's appointments, etc. In the last year there were a few times when we needed a sitter suddenly - and Dorilee was able to find a sitter for us for the next day. Once she even got back to me with a name within 15 minutes of my call!! We have been very happy with the sitters we have met, all of whom we are very fond of and are now considered our "regular" sitters.
