We camped here a few weeks ago with our children and a group from our church and had so much fun. The pool is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon and there is always fun things planned at the nature center. The grounds and bathrooms are so very clean and well taken care of. We look forward to going back. And its right near the small airport which makes it fun to see airplanes go over during the day.

Great pool and park! Of all the years we've gone, this year's staff is definitely far more safety and rules conscious, though all the rules were always posted but not previously enforced. But, having watched the lifeguard dive in last week to save a kid, I appreciate it. I love that the sprinkler area is turned down this year so the shallow section is more useable. The pool gets very full and busy on weekends and they do restrict the...more

We spent many days down at this pool last year and loved it. We went down for the first time on Monday and they have implemented new rules. It was a busy day and the life guards were clearly overwhelmed and were picking and choosing which families they were going to scaled, mine being one of them not just once but twice for something we were not doing wrong. They thought my son who can swim was too deep in the pool, mind you he wasn't even...more

Button Bay def deserves 5 stars! It's a great alternative to the town pool! I live in Vergennes and the admission to Button bay for my family is the same price as it would be for the town pool except Buttons Bay you have endless swimming and a better pool! There is a very fun water slide and fun squirty fountains to run through! Also located right by the pool area a nice pavilion to eat lunch at, a nice field to play in and nice playground!...more

Button Bay State Park is a fantastic place to bring your family, Camping, riding your bike, swimming, and a short walk to the nature center are a few things this park has to offer.
My children (3and5) love swimming in the pool, which has a great slide and is a perfect depth for little swimmers!

Button Bay is a wonderful family friendly spot. We can go for nature walks and little legs won't get too tired, because the trails are mostly flat. Though the water is often a bit too rough for canoeing, there is plenty to do, including the nature center, programs and pool. Though double check the nature center hours before you plan a trip, the last few times we've gone it has been closed we can still have fun to fossil hunt in the stones...more

I almost don't want to share this because I don't want it to be too crowded but thats not really fair so...
the pool and playground are the best around. we often meet a bunch of friends for dinner and swimtime because there are covered picnic tables as well. You can easily spend a whole day here.
